The Scottish County Tractor Club - About us:
The Scottish County Tractor Club was formed in 2002 by enthusiasts and owners of County tractors.
The Club was formed because we wanted to promote and raise awareness of County Tractors in tractor circles, mainly by attending rallies and working weekends. Our current membership is sitting at nearly 90, which gives you an indication of how popular County tractors have become to collectors.
Whilst the majority of our members are based in the North East of Scotland we do welcome members from all over the UK and further afield.
County tractors are as popular today as they were 40 years ago, when they were market leaders for equal wheeled 4 wheel drive tractors.
Company slogan at the time and still is : 'Foremost in four wheel drive’
County tractors were mainly used for agriculture, industrial and forestry, because of their 4 wheel drive durability.
70% of production was exported all over the world.
Our AGM is held at the end of January every year, where office bearers and committee are elected for office.
We also set the membership fees for the coming year.
Our ordinary meetings are held approximately 4 times a year and are held in Banchory, Aberdeenshire.
The Club has gained LTD company status ( Dec 07).
This was done purely to protect the members from having any liability should the club ever get in to difficulties.
We are not affiliated to any other vintage tractor organisation, we are purely an independent club formed because of our members devotion to County tractors.
